1:37 pm	The Young And The Restless A reader (blusaphyer) sent me this incredibly comprehensive report on the Young and The Restless. I tried to post it as a comment, but it was too long and Blogger would not accept it. Never one to be held back, I've posted it here. Enjoy: I've been watching this show since I was a kid and my grandmother stuffed me under a hairdryer for hours, I guess it's a version of Stockholm Syndrome now. Okay let's start with the kids playing poker (by kids I mean the older people). That's Victor and Skye. Victor is the local guy that never dies. He is the Y&R's version of Stefano, just not evil 100% of the time. Skye is some chick that faked her death and ran away to Brazil with Victor's sociopath son (as a warning, he has a few kids) whom also faked his death. Meanwhile, back at the ranch (and that's not straying too far as Victor owns a ranch), Nick (Victor's other son) is on trial for the murder of fake dead son. Fake dead son is the guy locked in the loony bin, his name is Adam. But, two different episodes so different time-frames. Anyways, Adam faked his death at this huge masquerade ball. Where did he get the body you might ask? Well there is this not important guy who looked remarkable close to Adam. Adam donated his bone marrow to this guy (no, not by coincidence, remember: sociopath), then got him to go to this ball. "Someone" killed the look-alike and there was a fire. They decided to draw DNA from the Kentucky Fried Body and since Adam donated bone marrow, it came up with his DNA. All of the surrounding evidence said Nick killed his half-brother. The Newman clan (Victor, his horde of children and horde of former lovers) figured out it was a frame-up. The DA has it out for the family so ignored them. So they dug up the body and ran dental records. Yep, it's not Adam. Somehow, they essentially figured out Adam was in Brazil. So Victor and Sharon (Nick's ex-wife and baby's mama as well as Adam's new ex-wife), ran off to find him. They learned about Skye and used the poker game to smoke her out. Sharon caught Adam's line of sight (he's still in love with her, she ditched him when she found out he kidnapped her and Nick's baby and passed it off as one of Victor's new kids) and Victor paid Skye 5 million to hand over Adam. She did. The 3 of them piled into Victor's helicopter and made their way back to Genoa City to save Nick. Victor and his family are loaded as they own Newman Enterprises. I don't really know what the business actually does, I just know it occasionally involves perfume and make-up. Their business battle is with Jabot. While there is generally always some personal plot going on, there is also a business plot going on at the same time. For the record, I call this show "The Old and the Breastless". When you see some of the other characters you will see why. So they get Adam back and he pretends to be crazy so he will get locked in the loony bin as his partner in crime (and I suspect the real murderer) is in there because she really is crazy. Her name is Patty and she carried around a dead cat for a while acting like it was alive. Not a stuffed dead cat. Just a dead cat. So yeah, he's faking. Okay the other two you saw. That was Kevin and Chloe. Their story is stupid. Chloe recently got engaged to Chance (a VIRGIN detective back from Iraq). She has a daughter with a guy named Billy (who is sleeping with Victor's daughter Victoria much to everyone's chagrin). If you want the backstory on Chloe and her kid, I can give it to you, just know it's very Nicole-ish. Chance has been put on security detail to Heather, the assistant DA because someone tried to blow her up. Chloe is jealous as Heather has a crush on Chance. The cops got Heather a new apartment in Kevin's building and want Heather and Chance to stay there. Chloe doesn't like her fiance staying with another woman. Kevin is getting divorced from his wife, Jana (who has some weird injury that does not allow her to feel any emotion and is now sleeping with Kevin's half-brother). Chloe wants to stay in his apartment to be closer to Chance. That's about it. I could give you a ton of backstory if you want it, just ask. To sum up how the relationships go (and this will be confusing): Victor married Nikki (several times) and has Victoria and Nick with her. Victor married Ashley (twice now) and has Abby with her. Ashley was pregnant at the same time as Sharon but lost the baby and had a hysterical pregnancy. Adam pawned Sharon's baby on Ashley saying it was her's. Victor also married Hope (blind and dead now) and had Adam but didn't know about Adam until like 2 years ago. Nikki has been married to Jack (Ashley's brother), Paul (Patty's brother), and Brad (character is dead, actor is on the Bold and the Beautiful). Nick married Sharon and had Cassie (dead) and Noah. Nick married Phyllis and had Summer. Nick slept with Sharon and had Faith. Still married to Phyllis and yes, everyone knows about Faith. Victoria has married everyone and their mother. Ryan, Brad, JT (has a son, Reed, with him), Billy (annulled the marriage but are still sleeping together), and some guys I am forgetting about. Billy was married to Chloe and had Delia. He was engaged to MacKenzie (Mac) who is the surrogate mother to twins of Cane and Lilly. Lilly has cancer and is dying hence the surrogate. Cane was tricked into believing Delia was his by Chloe in the beginning. Mac is now dating JT. There are more, but I will answer if you ask. 8:56 am	Sami and EJ - The Kiss Gabi sees Brady hugging Nicole and jumps to conclusions. Brady goes to see Arianna, who turns her back on him. Arianna learns why her alibi will no longer be useful. Rafe and Shane overtake the bumbling guards, who re-overtake the bumbling prisoners. Victor wonders what's bothering Vivian on their wedding night. God knows, it won't be Victor. Chloe tosses Carly out of the elevator at the last second and takes the death ride. Vivian learns it was Chloe who fell, not Carly. Daniel discovers Chloe flat as a pancake at the bottom of the shaft. Denny's Restaurant renames its "GRAND SLAM" breakfast the "CHLOE LANE." Maggie wonders what is eating away at Phillip. Melanie and Phillip rush to the hospital when they hear about Chloe's fall. EJ and Sami share their long anticipated hot kiss, only to have Sami the confused adolescent run out on him. 8:00 am	The Virgin Blushing Bride Note: I am posting here today because Blogger is down. Once Blogger is back up, I will also post there and that will remain our normal posting site. EJ sits and contemplates the picture Johnny drew. Sami comes in and EJ insinuates Johnny may become a struggling artist. "Better than a struggling actor," says Sami. Rafe and Shane roll around their jail cell fighting. A guard comes in and separates them, then Shane bonks him and grabs his key. Brady comforts Nicole outside the Kiriakis mansion with a big hug. Gabi watches, soaks it in and goes ballistic, "When my sister finds out about this she's going yo-yo." Phillip and Melanie are in bed. Phillip says he doesn't know what he would do without her. Melanie turns and asks, "How the hell could you cheat on me?" Phillip wakes up. He jumps up and sweats. Melanie sleeps. Phillip huffs. Daniel walks up to the elevator in the hospital as Carly and Chloe argue upstairs. Chloe decides she's had it with Carly and it's time for Carly to take the plunge. The signal comes in on Chloe's phone and Carly steps into the elevator. Suddenly Chloe has a change of heart. She runs in, grabs Carly and they struggle. With both of them in there, the audience chants, "Drop! Drop! Drop!" Sami says she checked on Johnny and he's OK. If that's the case, EJ wants to know why she's upset. Sami says it took a while for him to wake up and in that moment she knew she couldn't survive losing another child. Chloe flings Carly out of the elevator as the doors close. Chloe once again finds herself in the terrifying position of being in an elevator with no one to have sex with. Downstairs, Daniel stands outside the elevator. Suddenly... SCREEEEEEE-going-down-fifth-floor-ladies-lingerie-EEEEAAAAMMMM! "What," gasps Daniel, "Who's in there?" We hear the ominous dull thud as the elevator crashes. Daniel rushes around like a confused pinball. Sami broods about all the times she has lost her children, "Something is going to push me over the edge." EJ steps up for support, but Sami is inconsolable. EJ asks her to trust him. Gabi becomes a one-girl demolition crew, "Why are you snuggling up to this evil tramp?" Brady scolds her, "There's no need for name calling, you little potty-mouth slut." Nicole steps in and says this is her fault, not Brady's. Phillip is downstairs in Maggie's kitchen swilling booze. Maggie finds him and tells him she can't sleep because she's worried about Alice, who is running a fever. She asks why he's there and he says he had a nightmare, "It was about something I've done and am not proud of." "You mean besides marrying Melanie," asks Maggie. Victor and Vivian arrive in their hotel room. Victor tells her she was terrible company tonight because of all her fidgeting. Vivian is so out of it, she can't even remember what she ordered when Victor asks her about it, "What are you trying to hide?" We look into the elevator, where Chloe lies pancaked to the floor.   BULLETIN: Denny's Restaurant renames its "GRAND SLAM" breakfast the "CHLOE LANE."   Rafe covers the guard and the dynamic duo starts to leave the cell, but another guard catches them as they leave. Sami isn't happy. But she's happy, because she's only happy when she's unhappy. OMG, I'm turning into Kate. What if I become overbearing and wind up poisoning my child's fiancée? EJ says he has a secret way to make her feel better. Gabi, Brady, and Nicole have taken the drama (I use the term lightly) inside. Gabi tells Brady Arianna wants to see him, but now Gabi has to tell Arianna she was right to doubt Brady. Maggie the town busybody presses, but Phillip tells her his problem is work related. He says the situation affects a lot of people and if he comes clean it could be a big mess. Maggie digs, "Maybe you should tell the truth. Sometimes the consequences aren't as bad as you think, until I get hold of the story, spread it all over town and ruin your life." Daniel forces the elevator doors open and finds Chloe the pancake. Chloe always was kind of two-dimensional anyway. Daniel grabs her, "Talk to me. How do you feel? " "Kind of flat," says Chloe. Daniel goes into near-panic and begs, "Talk to me. Talk to me." Be careful what you ask for — you might get it. EJ hovers over Sami who wonders if he's going to hypnotize her. He has her close her eyes, "Clear your mind." A nanosecond passes. "OK," says Sami, "It's clear." EJ has her think of good times with her children. It's a stretch, but Sami thinks. She thinks of the time when she got Sydney back. He tells her to lock on to that thought and remember it, "Anytime you feel worried, pull that thought back out and draw strength from it." Sami opens her eyes, "It worked! Such a simple idea and it worked." "Simple minds respond to simple ideas," says EJ. Sami tells him he's a big part of that memory. Arianna calls EJ and leaves an urgent message, "The DA said my alibi won't hold water." Brady tries a little reverse psychology. He tells Gabi to go tell Arianna what she saw. Gabi says she thinks Brady should tell Arianna the truth. Brady asks if he shouldn't be the one to tell instead of Gabi. Gabi asks, "Does that mean you saying you don't love her?" "I love her," says Brady, "But her siblings drive me nuts." Maggie says Phillip still has Melanie. Phillip says he's not so sure about that. Maggie comforts, "I won't judge, but I want you to have peace of mind. In your case it would have to be a small piece." Melanie joins them. Stares abound. Vivian insists she's just tense because of the honeymoon. Victor gets sarcastic, "Oh the virgin blushing bride. Don't worry, I'll be gentle." Vivian continues to fret and Victor gets impatient, "If you don't cut it out, I'll throw you on that bed and have my way with you." "Now you're talking," says Vivian. Daniel gives Chloe mouth-to-mouth, hand-to-breast. Carly rushes in and surveys the scene, "I'll go get the crash cart." "No need," says Daniel, "She already crashed." EJ says he's ashamed of all the hurt he has caused Sami. "None of us is innocent," she says. "We are not normal, are we," asks EJ. "All the damage we've done to each other over the years," says Sami, "and now here we are together. I can't imagine my life without you. EJ asks, "Because of the children?" "Because we act like children," says Sami, "It's nice seeing this side of you... The charming, sensitive side with no agenda." "I absolutely have an agenda," says EJ, "Would you like to see it? It's upstairs in the bedroom." The first guard wakes up as the second guard holds Shane and Rafe. Together, the guards escort them out. Gabi tosses accusations, but Brady tells her the only person who deserves an answer is Arianna. Gabi threatens to make Brady miserable until Rafe comes back and makes them all miserable. Brady heads off to see Arianna. Gabi gives Nicole a parting shot, "Loser." She leaves. "We'll see about that," snorts Nicole. Vivian rants that Carly is ruining her life. Victor rants back, "I suppose Carly handed you that shovel and forced you to bury alive. I hate that woman, but you are not going to harm her. What are you up to, Vivian? Tell me the truth." Vivian does her best Jack Nicholson, "You can't handle the truth! But you couldn't stop thinking about Maggie tonight. What is going on Victor? Is she trying to seduce you with knitted sweaters and oatmeal cookies?" Victor leaves for a nightcap. Lexie joins the team wheeling Chloe in. She stops Daniel from going into surgery with them, thereby eliminating any chance Chloe has to survive. Brady joins Arianna at her cell. Arianna tells him about DA woods telling her the alibi is bogus, "He said you knew why. What happened to my alibi?" Delirious Dan paces outside the operating room and begs Chloe not to leave him. Maggie decides to go up and give sleep another try. Phillip tells Melanie he was too wound up to sleep. Daniel calls and tells Melanie about Chloe. Phillip drops to his knees, "Dear Lord, please let her die!" One of the guards brings Rafe back to the jail cell. Rafe asks what happened to the other guy. Shane staggers back and Rafe tells the guards they can't put them back in the cell together. One of the guards suggests maybe this time they can kill each other. The guards leave. Shane says he got the information they need. EJ says his agenda is he wants Sami and the kids to be happy. Sami says the DiMera mansion creeps her out but EJ's company makes up for that. EJ feels the same. Sami gets closer and says his plan really helped. Closer... Closer... Closer... NO! THE JUDGES RULE THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS ANOTHER NEAR-KISS! Nicole searches for Baker at the dock. Baker shows up and tells her his partner agreed there will be no more attacks. "So," says Nicole, "Arianna is going down." "Not until her next conjugal visit," says Baker. Nicole asks how Baker pulled this off. "It was easy," he says, "My partner is a pretty cool chick." Nicole mocks, "Aw... does Dicky boy have a girlfriend? Actually, I couldn't care less. I'm just glad I have a shot at Brady." Brady tells Arianna Nicole threw out the check, "She suggested we lie about that, but DA woods overheard us. We're out of credible alibis, but we'll find another way to prove your innocence." "I know you're trying to help," whines Arianna, "but that's why I had Gabi come and find you. I never should have doubted your belief in me. What are you thinking right now?" "Nothing," says Brady, "Thinking requires a brain. I don't think you will like hearing it, but when Gabi found me I was with Nicole." Vivian is on the phone, "This is Dr. Teresa Lang. I understand there was an accident there at Salem hospital. Is that true." The nurse on the other end breaks every privacy law in the book and tells "Dr. Lang" about the tragedy of Chloe being in the elevator without having sex. "Was anybody hurt," asks Vivian. "Chloe was inside the elevator when it dropped," says the nurse, "But don't worry, the elevator wasn't' damaged too much." Vivian asks if she's sure. "Between you and me," says nursie, "They're not sure Chloe will make it." Phillip and Melanie rush into the waiting area. Carly tells them it's too soon to tell if Chloe will make it, "She saved my life." Phillip runs to the chapel to blow out every candle that has been lit for Chloe. Daniel and Lexie stand beside Chloe's bed. Lexie comforts. Chloe imitates a pancake. Sami thanks EJ for everything he's done, "It's just nice being here with you." She moves in on him and this time they kiss big-time. Cover your ears, folks. The Ejami section reacts... "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Brady tells Arianna Gabi is convinced she walked in on something but she didn't. Arianna tells him to stop. "You don't believe me," says Brady, "I can't keep defending myself. It's the truth. I swear to God." Arianna pouts, "There is nothing left to say." She turns away form him. Nicole says, "Right now, Brady is breaking things off with Arianna." Baker is sooooo happy for her. Nicole thinks it won't be long before she and Brady are together. "All you had to do was lie, cheat and steal," says Baker. "It will be worth it." Baker asks, "Has Brady ever said those three little words?" "You mean 'I love you,'" asks Nicole. "In your case," says Baker, "The three words would be, 'you don't suck.'" Carly tells Phillip and Melanie what happened and how Chloe saved her life by trying to kill her. Melanie asks what Carly and Chloe were arguing about. "Whether to go up or down," says Carly. Daniel tells Chloe he loves her. Chloe stirs, "Daniel... I am sorry..." Shane says they now know where all the guard towers and exits are. Sami and EJ devour each other. Suddenly, Sami breaks it off and runs out. The Squeefest in the Ejami section continues. It's party-party-party until one of the Ejamis, Kathy Killjoy from Hell, Michigan, stands up and screams, "This all looks good now, but have you seen this piece of trash?" She holds up a copy of Ken Corday's latest interview for the Soap Opera Network. Ejamis read and gasp. They light torches, grab pitchforks and head for Corday's home with tar, feathers and a rail. 8:17 am	Salem's Biggest Snakes Hope slings a piece of paper. She can't believe it. How could Bo give up on them? She calls Jennifer. Jennifer bawls her out. She isn't happy about the divorce. She won't let it happen. Frankie wants to know if Bo has any leads on Lockhart. "No," snarls Bo, "And if I catch him anywhere near my wife again, I'll teach him the legend of the flying fists. You can shred those papers. I am not granting a divorce." "You know the law in this state," says Frankie, "She doesn't need your consent. My job is to see her wishes are carried out." Lucas barks instructions to Eugenia as Austin comes up. Lexie left a message to meet with him, Lucas and Carrie. She has invited every one except Sami. Sami and Lexie argue. Lexie says finding the lump was a wake up call, "I'm eliminating the stress from my life. If that means destroying you, then that's a bonus. Your tears won't work on me." Sami insists, "Your whole future is at risk." Lexie says, "There is nothing you can do to hurt me or to stop me." "Maybe not me," says Sami, "But Alex will. It will be your own damn fault." Alex bumps into Marlena. He sees she is upset and asks, "What happened?" He sees John in the background, "I should have known." Lexie interrupts... there is something you all need to know. Austin, Lucas, Carrie and the Salem Tabernacle Choir all walk in. Lexie moves them into the hospital auditorium, so there is room for everyone, "I'm glad you are all here..." "What is going on," asks the throng. "That's what I would like to know," says Abe, "Well... Lexie?" Bo looks over the divorce papers. Frankie says he is sorry. He advises Bo to get his own attorney. "That would be the smart thing to do," says Bo, "So I can't. You lawyer types will just tear our life apart." "Unfortunately," says Frankie, "Division of assets is part of any divorce. I suggest you two go through a mediation process." "That would be the smart thing to do," says Bo, "So I can't. I can't believe we're having this discussion." "I can't either," says Frankie. Bo says, "If there was a way I could talk to her. You know, just get through to her somehow." Frankie says, "Maybe there is." Abe takes Lexie outside and asks what is going on. Lexie promises to tell him everything in a few minutes. Abe suggests she should tell him in private. "That would be the smart thing to do," says Lexie, "So I can't. Trust me on this." Carrie wonders why Lexie wants to talk to them. Lucas thinks Sami knows something since she is acting so tense. Alex leaves to make some honeymoon arrangements. Tek advises John to keep his cool and his distance. "That would be the smart thing to do," says John, "So I can't. I was getting though to her, Tek. I need a little more time with her." "Just don't try anything stupid," says Tek. "I don't know any other way," says John. Lexie comes back in and apologizes for keeping them waiting. She stammers around, "I'm sure you're wondering what this is about. I have something important to tell you and it won't be easy." Frankie tells Bo to do whatever it takes to find Hope. Maybe he can turn this around. Frankie has to leave. Bo asks how things are going with him and Jennifer. Frankie thought this would never have happened. He knows she will always love Jack. Bo points out Frankie was Jennifer's first love, "Don't let her go. Don't wind up like me." Hope insists she isn't coming home. She is divorcing Bo. Jennifer can't believe it. Hope says, "It was a difficult decision. I need your support." "I support you," says Jennifer, "Is there something I can do?" "Not really," says Hope, "How is it going with Frankie? Maggie told me all about you and him. I think you make a great couple." "We'll just wait and see what happens," says Jennifer. "It's what Jack wanted," says Hope. "I miss him so much," says Jennifer, "Probably like you miss Bo right now." "I try to keep busy," says Hope. Jennifer asks, "Isn't it lonely there?" "Actually," says Hope, "I've been here with Patrick Lockhart." Jennifer just about swallows the mouthpiece. Frankie leaves. Bo goes to his desk and contemplates a picture of him and Hope, "I'm gonna get you back, Fancy Face. No matter what it takes." Hope tells Jennifer she and Patrick didn't come to the island together. She wound up in the same bungalow as him. He insisted she stay. "That sounds like Patrick," says Jennifer, "When I lost Jack the first time... or was it the second... maybe the third... who can keep track... I couldn’t have gotten along with out him. You should come home, Hope." "That would be the smart thing to do," says Hope, "So I can't. I probably won't come back for a long while." "We miss you so much," says Jennifer. Hope says, "I'm just not ready. I don't know if I ever will be. There are so many sad memories there. I will stay in touch, but please do not tell anyone Patrick is here with me." Translation: Spread the word as quickly as possible. "OK," says Jennifer, "You have my word." "The last thing I need is Bo going ballistic." "He would," says Jennifer, "Take care. Bye." She hangs up, "Oh my gosh, Hope, you hare making a huge mistake. What are you doing?" Hope wanders over and picks up one of those legendary flowers, "I know you're worried, Jen, but I'm doing what I need to do." Lexie announces, "The first thing is about my health. I found a lump." "Mumble, mumble, mumble," says the multitude. Abe steps up to her. Lexie tells him she is prepared to deal with it. She is going to eliminate unnecessary stress. The nurse comes up with the results. Lexie opens them. Lexie stares. Lexie cries. She hands the papers to Abe. Abe reads, "Oh... benign." "Oh! What a relief," exclaims the peanut gallery. "Why didn't you tell me," asks Abe. "That would be the smart thing to do," says Lexie, "So I couldn't. Lexie's phone rings, "I have to go, there is an emergency." She asks the group to wait with baited breath until she returns. Sami sneaks into the emergency room, "Dammit, Alex, where are you? your plan is not working." Marlena looks for Alex as John grabs her, "You are gonna remember everything and I am gonna help you do it." Lucas wonders what else Lexie has to tell them. Carrie just wouldn't know. She tells him she is going to go to the nursery. She has decided to volunteer to work there, so she can work with her peers. Lucas thinks that's a good idea. It will be good practice for when she is a mom. Carrie leaves. Eugenia tells Lucas, "This thing with Lexie doesn't make sense. She might be gearing up for a showdown. I'll give you one guess who's on the receiving end." "Sami," says Lucas. Alex was wondering when Sami would show up. Sami asks what is going on. Alex says, "I think it's time that we let Lexie know who's really in charge here, don't you?" Jennifer picks thins up as she wonders what would happen if Bo found out, "I can't tell anyone." Frankie's impeccable timing brings him in at that critical moment, "Not even me?" Bo vows to reach Hope. He turns to the computer, "This may be my last chance. It better work." Hope stares out the window, "Where are you, Patrick. I know you need time alone. I wish you would let me help you. I know what it's like to lose the love of your life." Hope's computer chimes... EMAIL. Hope stares at the screen, "I don't believe this. Why is he doing this?" Carrie watches as the nurse hauls out a baby. "I never get tired of looking at them," says Carrie. "You mean like the audience gets tired of looking at you," asks the nurse, "I think you will be a natural as a volunteer." Austin comes up. Abe talks to Tek. He doesn't understand it, "Lexie finds a lump and doesn't tell me." "That would be the smart thing to do," says Tek, "She couldn't." Abe asks, "Why would she share it with these other people?" "The only thing I know is she loves you," says Tek, "She would never purposely hurt you." Abe says, "Thank you for reminding me this is about Lexie, not me. I know we have had our differences, but you've always been there for my family. You looked out for them when I was on the island. You've been a good friend." "My pleasure," says Tek.
